Location: Des Moines, IA
Unit Information: Avg. caseload – We average 35-50 cases per day. Our expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes. Special equipment – We have 3 Davinci robots, we use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and we use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don’t do many ortho joints. How many suites – We have 16 OR’s. We run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas. Service lines - Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures. Other – the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current 2 years of current OR RN experience
- Must have experience both scrubbing and circulating.
- Must have strong experience in majority of cases including ortho, neuro, trauma, abdominal
- Must have Level 1 experience
- Current IA RN License –– compact allowed
- Current AHA BLS
- Drivers License
- EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
- Final RTO or any scheduling requests
- Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
Shift: Nights 4x10 hr shifts -- 40 hrs/week, On Call: TBD, Weekends: TBD - Nights
Travel Hourly Pay: $35
Travel Stipend: $1407
